Hours:   28.8 hours, 4 days per week, 39 weeks (TTO)

Contract: FTC, until 31 August 2023

William Morris Sixth Form, situated in Hammersmith, was established as the country’s first 16-19 comprehensive school.  We offer 850 students from West London and beyond an exciting range of academic and vocational courses from foundation learning through to advanced level.  WMSF is an over-subscribed, vibrant, inner-city learning community which has the individual student at the heart of everything it does.

We are looking for a flexible, practical person with relevant experience and qualifications to join our Learning Support team. You will be the designated key worker for a caseload of students with moderate learning difficulties and will advise and support teaching staff in order to meet the students learning needs and targets.

You will also provide in class support and develop strategies to encourage independence and help the student learn effectively as well as providing support in non-educational activities, developing personal and social skills and encouraging integration in wider school life.

You will hold a HLTA qualification or be working towards one with an awareness and understanding of SEN legislation and the 2015 Code of Practice. You will be able to use a range of strategies to promote positive behaviour and have experience of effectively supporting a caseload of students and meeting their needs, preferably in the 16-19 age range.
